ABOUT US

We offer places for schools, groups and individuals

We offer a safe place for anyone and everyone.
We are proud of this work and hope to continue the development of this area so we can provide an animal therapy centre to assist in learning and support in our local community.

How we started

In November 2006, PACT Animal Sanctuary was awarded a grant from the “Big Lottery Fund” to convert an old barnyard to accommodate friendly animals and a quiet, contained place where people with physical, mental and emotional stress problems can associate and interact with the animals without being exposed to the other parts of the sanctuary.

The Centre opened in May 2008 and includes a cosy study room where many of our cats will enjoy a cuddle on the sofa. We have wheelchair access around the site and full disabled toilet facilities.

The Henry Hallam Therapy Centre is a place where people with different needs can be close to the animals but away from the general bustle of the Sanctuary and relax in peace and quiet.

“I absolutely loved working with the goats at the sanctuary. I helped clean out their enclosures and got to spend time stroking them. It was so relaxing to be outside and know my time was spent helping animals"
George, Carbrooke
“As someone who is incredibly anxious and struggles with social situations, it was so welcoming to have somewhere I could go and have no pressure or feel judged.  I enjoyed walking the dogs and spending time with the rabbits. It was lovely to be surrounded by animal loving people"
Jordane, Thetford
